Getting started
The first ten minutes: writing something down, finding it again, and getting your old notes in.
Scratchpad has no setup. Open it, type, and the rest of this explains what else is there when you want it.
- Your first note No form to fill in. The first line becomes the title.
- Finding a note again One search box reads your notes, your PDFs, your images, and your transcripts.
- Bringing your old notes in Apple Notes, Evernote, Markdown, Word, HTML, RTF, JSON, or a zip, with their folders and attachments.
- Why it works this way What Scratchpad does differently to other notes apps, and the reasoning behind each choice.
- Scratchpad for Mac The Mac app: a new note from any app, reminders as notifications, and signing in with any passkey through your browser.
- Scratchpad for Linux The Linux app: a new note from any app, reminders as notifications, a tray icon, and signing in with any passkey through your browser.
